Abstract: The present embodiments relate to a positive electrode active material precursor for a lithium secondary battery, a positive electrode active material, and a positive electrode comprising same. A positive electrode active material precursor for a lithium secondary battery according to an embodiment is a nickel-containing metal hydroxide containing nickel in the range of 0.6 to 0.75 mol relative to a total of 1 mol of transition metals, wherein the metal hydroxide has a zeta potential of -8 mV or higher and a specific surface area (BET) in the range of 4 m2/g to 11 m2/g.
