Abstract: A posture alert system (100) is disclosed for monitoring posture and positional distance of a user during seated activities including studying, reading, writing examinations, or desk-based work, with or without use of electronic devices. The system (100) comprises a sensing unit (102) including a vision sensor (104) and a distance sensor (106), a processing unit (108), an alert means (110), and a display unit (112). The processing unit (108) analyzes posture-related image data and distance data to detect posture deviation and positional deviation relative to predefined reference parameters and activates the alert means (110) upon continuous detection of incorrect posture or position for a predetermined duration. Individual posture analytics including posture efficiency score and distance are displayed on the display unit (112). Posture data of a plurality of users is aggregated through a software application (114) to enable group-level analytics, reporting, and comparative assessment while preserving user privacy.
