Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. Some aspects more specifically relate to power control for ambient internet of things (IoT). In some examples, an ambient IoT device may transmit power control assistance information including an energy status of the ambient IoT device. In some aspects, the ambient IoT device may transmit the power control assistance information to a network node or to an intermediate node (for example, a user equipment (UE) ) between the ambient IoT device and the network node. The ambient IoT device may receive a communication in accordance with the power control assistance information.
