Abstract: The present invention discloses a portable automated indexing drilling jig designed for use with conventional drill presses. The jig facilitates controlled multihole drilling on circular workpieces through a servo-driven angular indexing mechanism integrated with a microcontroller-based control system. The assembly comprises a base structure supporting a rotatable indexing plate configured to position the workpiece at predefined angular intervals during sequential drilling operations. The drilling process is performed by the existing drill press spindle, while the jig manages indexing and operational sequencing through programmed timing logic. The system further incorporates GSM-based notification and a web-based dashboard interface for real-time monitoring of operational status and indexing position. The invention enhances repeatability and structured drilling without modifying the core drill press system, providing an electronically assisted fixture solution suitable for workshop and production environments.
