Abstract: Precision seed metering and sowing device A precision seed metering and sowing device (1) comprising a frame structure (10), at least one seed hopper (20), a seed rotor (30) mounted on a rotatable shaft (40), a chain sprocket transmission arrangement (50), one or more proximity sensors (60), a rack and pinion indexing mechanism (70), an electronic controller (80), a motorized actuator (90), a seed delivery tube (100), and a furrow opener assembly (110). The seed rotor (30) comprises a plurality of seed receiving slots (301) configured according to geometric characteristics of a predetermined seed variety for accommodating individual seeds. The proximity sensors (60) detect seed characteristics and transmit corresponding signals to the electronic controller (80), which controls the motorized actuator (90) to actuate the rack and pinion indexing mechanism (70) for regulating movement of the seed rotor (30). Rotational motion transmitted through the chain sprocket transmission arrangement (50) enables sequential transport and discharge of individual seeds through the seed delivery tube (100) into a furrow formed by the furrow opener assembly (110).
