MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421103377 A) filed by Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited on December 26, 2024, for Prediction Of Maximum Cell Voltage Of High Voltage (hv) Battery Pack Using Machine Learning.

Inventors include Birupaksha Basu Majumder; Mahesh Padawal; and K Madhav.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT PREDICTION OF MAXIMUM CELL VOLTAGE OF HIGH VOLTAGE (HV) BATTERY PACK USING MACHINE LEARNING A method and a system for predicting a failure of high voltage (HV) battery pack in a vehicle 5 is disclosed. The method comprises monitoring, in real-time, a plurality of parameters associated with the HV battery pack and the vehicle. The plurality of parameters comprises at least minimum cell voltage, maximum present temperature of the HV battery pack, coolant outlet temperature in the HV battery pack, brake percentage, and accelerator paddle percentage. The method further discloses predicting, using an AI model, a maximum cell voltage of the 10 HV battery pack at least based on the monitored plurality of parameters. Thus, the method 500 facilitates accurate prediction of failure of HV battery pack in vehicles by predicting maximum cell voltage closer to actual value. FIG. 1
