The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: A predictive emergency traffic control system, comprising a plurality of intersection edge nodes 101 connected to respective traffic signal controllers for detecting emergency sirens and generating pre-emption triggers, an acoustic sensing module for capturing sound and an edge processing unit for performing frequency-based analysis to distinguish an emergency siren from normal traffic noise, a coordination engine communicates with the edge nodes 101 through a low-latency communication link to receive siren confirmation events and calculate an estimated time of arrival (ETA) and a route confidence score for an approaching emergency vehicle, an emergency vehicle telemetry interface provides location and heading information to the coordination engine for calculating the ETA and route confidence score, a traffic signal phase control module performs staged pre-emption using ready, prepare, and green phases based on the ETA and route confidence score and restores normal signal operation after vehicle passage or route deviation.
