Abstract: The present disclosure provides for no-fly-zone protection against an unmanned aerial vehicle (102). A position-acquisition unit (106) obtains a first position sample and a second position sample of the unmanned aerial vehicle (102) at two distinct time instants. A processing unit (108) derives a direction vector, projects a forward ray, and performs a ray-circle intersection test against an inner region (104-2) to predict an impending entry in advance of a boundary, and constructs a rerouting path through an entry tangent point and an exit tangent point on a safety boundary (104-4) to a recovery point. A signal-injection unit (122) republishes the rerouting path along a navigation setpoint stream (102-4) as waypoint updates. Unlike conventional counter-unmanned-aerial-vehicle measures that act reactively through a jamming or a kinetic interception, the present disclosure diverts the unmanned aerial vehicle (102) proactively and non-destructively for a restricted-airspace protection.
