MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531006080 A) filed by Central Agricultural University, Imphal on January 24, 2025, for Preparation Of Encapsulated Green Silver And Silica Nanocomposite For Plant Health Management Thereof.

Abstract: The invention is a process of preparation of encapsulated green Silver and Silica nanocomposite for plant health management thereof. In the invention plant mediated encapsulated green silver and silica nanocomposite (EN-Ag-SiO2 NC) were synthesized using leaf extract of Litsea salicifolia. acting as a reductant cum stabilizer in synthesizing the product. EN-Ag-SiO2 NC at 200 ppm passage potentiality to suppress 100% growth of Rhizoctnia solani. EN-Ag-SiO2 NC significantly causes reduction of sheath blight of rice at 200 ppm with enhanced plant defense metabolites.
