The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a single-pot in-situ method for preparing polymer-functionalized multi-layer graphene oxide composites for energy storage and conductive applications. The bulk synthesis involves dispersing natural graphite in an acidic medium, adding a primary oxidizing agent to form graphene oxide, and directly introducing a conductive polymer monomer (e.g., aniline) without intermediate washing, purification, or ultrasonication. The residual oxidizing environment initiates in-situ polymerization, forming an integrated composite bonded via p-p stacking. Alternatively, a lab-scale method utilizes cupric chloride or ferric chloride as catalytic oxidizing agents. The technical advancement lies in eliminating multi-step purification processes and external initiators, while preventing graphene restacking. The resulting composite exhibits an enhanced electrical conductivity of 10?² O/cm² and a synergistic specific capacitance of 47 F/g, making it highly suitable for supercapacitors, batteries, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding applications.
