MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611109767 A) filed by Aarav Jain; and Richa Jain on September 12, 2026, for Print-In-Place Tendon-Actuated Anthropomorphic Robotic Hand With Coupled Four-Bar Digits And Independent Lateral Actuation.

Inventor includes Aarav Jain.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed is an anthropomorphic robotic hand assembly (100) comprising a palm subsystem (110), a forearm subsystem (130) coupled through a wrist frame and wrist joint (120), and articulated digit assemblies (200). Each digit assembly (200) includes a metacarpophalangeal base (201), a proximal phalange (202), a proximal lever (203), a medial phalange (204), a medial lever (205), and a distal phalanx (206) interconnected through first to seventh revolute joints (J1-J7) defining two coupled four-bar linkages. The coupled linkages constrain tendon-driven curling to a single controlled flexion degree of freedom. A tendon (305), tendon anchor (306), tendon pulley assembly (304), and flexion actuator (301) produce coordinated curling. Independent lateral actuators (302) provide abduction and adduction, while a wrist actuator (303) provides wrist rotation. Print-in-place conical pivots (207), conical pivot sockets (212), and exclusion-cone geometries (208) enable articulation without separate pins or bearings, thereby providing an increased controllable articulation and rotational movement envelope
