MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611058178 A) filed by Sharda University on May 07, 2026, for Privacy-Preserving Communication Intent Detection And Metadata Signaling Using User Interaction Behavior.
Inventor includes Dr. Mayank Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a privacy-preserving communication intent management framework for electronic messaging environments. The invention provides mechanisms for monitoring user interaction behavior associated with message composition activities and identifying unsent communication states based on behavioral and temporal parameters. The framework enables generation of abstract communication indicators representing pending, inactive, or abandoned communication intent without exposing message content, semantic meaning, or sensitive user information. Further, the invention enables controlled transmission of communication-related metadata to an intended recipient for improving communication awareness and continuity. The framework additionally supports dynamic communication state evolution, user-controlled visibility management, secure signaling, adaptive behavior analysis, and multi-device operation across distributed communication platforms. The invention thereby improves communication reliability, reduces missed interactions, enhances user awareness regarding unsent communications, and preserves confidentiality of digital communications through localized processing and privacy-oriented metadata handling mechanisms.
