Abstract: [0001] The present invention provides a method and a system (100) for generating high definition images. The method and system includes retrieving a first image having a focal point, determining one or more additional focal points, transmitting triggering signals containing data related to the one or more additional focal points to the portable device (102), receiving one or more captured images from the portable device corresponding to the respective determined focal points and stacking the one or more captured images with the first image to generate a high-definition image based on a second set of parameters. The first image is captured by a portable device and is transmitted to the server (104). The one or more additional focal points are determined based on at least one of a comparison of sharpness levels between one or more segments of the first image and a first set of parameters.
