Abstract: ABSTRACT PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF MULTI-LAYERED GRAPHENE NANOPARTICLE COATING A system and method for depositing multilayered graphene nanoplatelet coatings onto 5 substrates is disclosed. The invention utilizes an atmospheric plasma spray process where spray-dried, spherical agglomerates of graphene nanoplatelets are conveyed via a feeder device into a high-temperature plasma plume generated by a plasma emission device powered by an electrical arc. An inert shroud gas envelops the plume to create an oxygen-free atmosphere, preserving the graphene’s structural integrity during 10 deposition. The system further comprises a gas supply unit, water-cooling arrangement, dust collector, and a controller for regulating process parameters such as plasma temperature, feed rate, and stand-off distance. The resulting coating exhibits enhanced electrical conductivity, wear resistance, and reduced friction, making it suitable for applications in energy storage, protective surfaces, and other advanced industrial sectors.
