MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511132663 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on December 27, 2025, for Process For Production Of Nanofibrillated Cellulose.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to the organic chemistry. Preferably, the present disclosure relates to a process of production of nanofibrillated cellulose from agro-industrial waste with higher yields, wherein said process is green process. The present disclosure provides a process to produce the NFC in an efficient, scalable, and eco-conscious manner for transforming low-value biomass into high-performance nanomaterials.
