MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411090580 A) filed by Birla Institute Of Technology And Science, Pilani on November 21, 2024, for Process For Synthesis Of Snp Loaded Pda Coated Ceria Zinc Nanoflowers (pda@snp@ce:zn Nfs).

Inventors include Swati Biswas; Balaram Ghosh; and Sri Ganga Padaga.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to hybrid metallic nanozyme with nitric oxide-releasing photothermal coating for accelerated infected diabetes wound healing. In particulalrly, the present invention relates to a process for synthesis of SNP loaded PDA coated Ceria Zinc Nanoflowers (PDA@SNP@Ce:Zn NFs). The process includes of dissolving Zinc acetate dihydrate (Zn(CH3COO)2.2H2O), cerium(III) nitrate hexahydrate (Ce(NO3)3.6H2O) and citric acid (C6H8O7.H2O) in a mixture of ethanol and water; adding 10M NaOHdropwise in the solution under stirring conditions to adjust pH at 13; allowing the solution to cool at room temperature and centrifuging the solution at 7000 rpm for 15 min to form pellets of Ceria Zinc Nanoflowers (Ce: Zn NFs) ; coating dopamine hydrochloride to the Ceria Zinc Nanoflowers (Ce: Zn NFs) to form PDA coated Ce:Zn NFs; adding 100 mg of PDA@Ce:Zn NFs to 20ml of aqueous solution of 0.1 M sodium nitroprusside (SNP) to form SNP loaded PDA coated Ceria Zinc Nanoflowers (PDA@SNP@Ce:Zn NFs).
