MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521001896 A) filed by Vilas Shreedhar Tawde on January 08, 2025, for Process Of Extraction Of Coal Bed Methane Gas Using Water As A Motive Fluid.
Inventor includes Vilas Shreedhar Tawde.
The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: The present invention is a process whereby produced water from the well is used as a motive fluid to assist in the extraction of the gas from the well. The produced water is fed directly to the Separator from the well at operating pressure. The Gas from the well is fed directly to an ejector system and gets boosted to Separator pressure by using the produced water pumped at high pressure. This high pressure water fed into the ejector reduces the pressure at Ejector nozzle to below atmosphere, causing the gas to be sucked into the Ejector. The gas and produced water coming out of the ejector is also fed to the separator along with produced water from the well (s). The gas separated from the separator is to be fed to the consumer and produced water from the separator is used as a motive fluid and surplus water is to be disposed of.
