Abstract: ABSTRACT PROTECTIVE FRAME SYSTEM FOR A TWO WHEELER The invention relates to a crash guard assembly for a scooter having an internal structural skeleton and external body panels is disclosed. The assembly comprises at least one rigid guard member (102, 106, 108, 110 112) extending along an external periphery of the scooter and at least one mounting interface (104, 114, 120). The mounting interface passes through, around or adjacent to the external body panels and anchors the rigid guard member directly to loadbearing portions of the internal structural skeleton, such that the guard member is suspended in a spaced-apart relationship over the body panels and impact loads bypass the panels. Embodiments include front, floor, centre, rear and front-fender crash guards arranged individually or together to form a continuous protective rail, suitable for modular retrofit and for protecting floor-mounted battery packs in electric scooters.
