Abstract: abstract of the invention Dental prostheses are constantly exposed to saliva leading to adsorption of salivary proteins that form the acquired pellicle, initiating biofilm formation and increases risk of dental caries and prosthesis-related infections. Current diagnostic approaches detect biofilm after clinical manifestations, limiting early preventive intervention and care. This study focuses on the identification and quantification of salivary proteins such as a-amylase, mucins, and lysozyme adsorbed onto dental prosthesis surfaces and analysis using non-invasive and minimally invasive techniques including fluorescent labelling, ELISA, and OD-based assays for detection of biofilm. I The generated quantitative protein-material interaction data is utilized to develop an artificial intelligence-based predictive model. The Al model integrates protein type, concentration, prosthetic material, and surface modifications and uses standard curve analysis to estimate relative biofilm formation and caries risk. This study highlights a novel, non-invasive and preventive approach that combines microbiology, biomaterials, and artificial intelligence to enable early risk assessment and personalized prosthetic care.
