Abstract: The invention relates to a road embedded system for harvesting energy which is going to generate electricity from vehicle motion using a rack and pinion mechanism. The system is modular, cost-effective and retrofittable into existing roads. It also supports smart city integration through IoT based monitoring and predictive maintenance. This system is totally new as in India with this technology there is no startup found whereas in Japan case study it was found that they are generating electricity through piezoelectric cells which basically works with pressure. Here, PulseRoad stands with different mechanisms bring the contrast in the chapter while generating the electricity through speed breakers with the rack and pinion mechanism. It also supports smart city integration. The safety and durability is maintained by the use of anti slip coating on the speed breaker surface , ensuring to use the mechanical parts are shielded from debris , and the maintenance schedule for checking the alignment of spring tension and generator.
