MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617071785 A) filed by Pbj Retech Limited on June 10, 2026, for Pyrolysis System And Method For Recovering Carbon Black And Producing Pyrolysis Gases.

Inventors include Arajo Carreira, Germano; Melo Refoios Da Costa, Sebastio; and Andr Pereira De Carvalho Rocha, Ricardo.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: The invention refers to a pyrolysis system adapted for processing a feedstock comprising organic or carbon-rich materials comprising a first pyrolysis zone (100), a vapor thermal cracking zone (400), and a first outer housing (500), wherein said first pyrolysis zone (100) is arranged longitudinally at an angle in the range of -30 degrees to +30 degrees, and said vapor thermal cracking zone (400) is arranged longitudinally at an angle in the range of 0 degrees to 60 degrees in relation to the base of said pyrolysis system. The invention also refers to a method for producing recovered carbon black and pyrolysis gases. The pyrolysis system solves technical problems caused by fouling of trapped particles in the vapors products separation stages by incorporating the vapor thermal cracking zone (400) and solves the limitations associated with an improper quality of the obtained Recovered Carbon Black by developing a pyrolysis reactor configured to control the dwell time of the solid pyrolysis products.
