Abstract: Abstract QDOT BASED ALCOHOL DETECTION OF DRIVER IN-VEHICLE Present disclosure relates to Quantum dot (Qdot) based alcohol detection device, and method for alcohol detection of a driver. Qdot based alcohol detection device comprising at least one Qdot sensor, a photodevice operatively connected to the each Qdot sensor, and a breath analyser module operatively connected to each photodevice. Each Qdot sensor of the at least one Qdot sensor is configured to 5 receive a breath signal of a driver. Photodevice is configured to receive photoluminescence signal from an associated Qdot sensor, and monitor emission characteristics of the photoluminescence signal of the associated Qdot sensor. Breath analyser module is configured to determine a concentration of at least one of alcohol molecules and carbon dioxide molecules in the breath signal based on an 10 output of the each photodevice. Qdot based alcohol detection device is embedded into a steering wheel cover of a vehicle or in an air filter assembly of the vehicle. Fig. 2b
