Abstract: The present invention relates to a quantum-assisted smart manufacturing process optimization system configured to optimize manufacturing operations through cooperation between quantum computation and classical computation. The system receives manufacturing information from machines, sensors, industrial controllers, manufacturing execution systems, enterprise resource planning systems, quality systems, maintenance systems, inventory systems, and other information sources. The received information is processed to generate a current manufacturing state and an optimization model comprising production variables, operational constraints, and multiple manufacturing objectives. A quantum-classical optimization engine selectively processes complex decision variables using a quantum computational layer while a classical computational layer performs data processing, constraint management, prediction, solution refinement, and validation. A manufacturing digital model may simulate candidate solutions before execution. The selected solution is converted into manufacturing instructions and communicated to industrial equipment through an execution interface. Actual manufacturing results are continuously monitored and compared with predicted results to update optimization models and initiate subsequent optimization operations. The system thereby provides adaptive optimization of production scheduling, machine allocation, process parameters, material utilization, energy consumption, quality, maintenance, and manufacturing efficiency.
