Abstract: Disclosed is a radiation-aware infant cradle for multimodal infant monitoring. The cradle has a cradle frame defining an infant support region, a sensor assembly mounted relative to the cradle frame, an edge processing unit carried by the cradle frame, a fusion unit executed by the edge processing unit, a response assembly and a communication gating unit. The sensor assembly has a temperature sensor, a microphone, an image sensor and a motion sensor arranged for non-contact acquisition of infant condition signals. The edge processing unit classifies the infant condition signals into condition outputs. The fusion unit combines the condition outputs into an infant state. The response assembly has a rocking actuator, a lighting unit and an audio playback unit controlled according to the infant state. The communication gating unit enables alert transmission according to the infant state. Fig. 1 Dated June 3, 2026 / Kumar Tushar Srivastava IN/PA-3973 Agent for the Applicant
