Abstract: A small digital gadget is designed to monitor railway track geometry and is powered by a solar panel, with a capacity of 20-watt power. This power is utilized by both the ESP32 and the MPU6050.To monitor the important angles that define track geometry, such as super elevation, longitudinal slope, and lateral alignment. A ultrasonic sensor is based to monitor and record track deflection and the distance from the rail cart to the crown, all of which contribute to the computation of the gauge length .As it is a solar-powered gadget, it does not require any other source of power, which is quite different from traditional methods.
