Abstract: A railway track inspection and maintenance device, comprising a mobile body 101 to traverse along a railway track, a support assembly to provide repositioning support to the mobile body 101, an adaptable gauge wheel arrangement to adjust and lock wheel 102 spacing for different rail gauges, a navigation module comprising a gyroscopic sensor for inclination detection and a GPS (Global Positioning System) module for generating location coordinates correlated to inspected track positions, an inspection assembly to inspect at least one of rails and sleepers, to detect at least one of cracks/defects, deformation, abnormal vibration characteristics, support instability, or foreign objects near the railway track, a maintenance assembly comprising at least one of a vibrating tamping arrangement for ballast stabilization and a fastener fixing unit for sleeper securing.
