Abstract: A railway track monitoring and emergency control system (100) may include a plurality of monitoring units (110) distributed along or in proximity to one or more railway tracks (120), each monitoring unit (110) may include one or more sensors (202) to acquire data representative of structural, operational, or environmental conditions of railway track (120), a communication network (130) operatively coupled to plurality of monitoring units (110), the communication network (130) may include one or more secure communication techniques including encryption-based and/or quantum-secured communication to facilitate secure data transmission and detect anomalous communication indicative of cyber-intrusion events, and a control unit (140) operatively coupled to communication network (130) to receive data from plurality of monitoring units (110) to correlate multi-source data, analyze data to identify structural defects comprising cracks or abnormal conditions in the railway track (120), and initiate one or more responsive actions based on detected anomalies or cyber-intrusion events.
