Abstract: Abstract “RASHI 26: An Advanced Acid Corrosion Inhibitor System for Low Carbon Steel based on Lawsone Derivative and Benzothiazole-Benzamides” The present invention relates to a synergistic corrosion-inhibitor composition, RASHI 26, for protecting low-carbon steel in aggressive acidic environments. The composition comprises a lawsone derivative (0.3–0.5 wt%) (Figure 1), a benzothiazole–benzamide derivative (0.3–0.5 wt%) (Figure 2), potassium iodide (KI) (0.1–0.3 wt%) as a synergistic additive, and 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) (98.7–99.3 wt%) as a solvent medium. The RASHI 26 composition demonstrates an inhibition efficiency exceeding 98% at a low concentration of 1% v/v. The composition is particularly suitable for industrial applications and cleaning of boilers, heat exchangers and pipelines. Figure 1. Lawsone derivative Figure 2.
