MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641066133 A) filed by Ssm Institute Of Engineering And Technology on May 26, 2026, for Real-Time Ball Badminton Impact Force Measurement And Analysis System Using Sensor Technology.
Inventors include Dr. S. Karthigai Lakshmi; K. S. Arunkumar; R. Senthil Kumar; T. Thirisha; and K. Vasuki.
The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a real-time ball badminton impact force measurement and smart 5 performance analysis system using motion sensing and embedded processing techniques. The system comprises an MPU6050 motion sensor, an ESP8266/ESP32 microcontroller, an OLED display, a buzzer, and a solar-powered supply arrangement. The motion sensor continuously measures acceleration and angular velocity during gameplay. The embedded controller processes the sensor data, detects valid impact events using threshold-based acceleration analysis, estimates hit spe~d, and 10 provides immediate visual and audible feedback. Signal filtering and gyroscope validation improve detection reliability and reduce false positives. The system further supports wireless communication and cloud-based analytics. A compact protective enclosure houses the electronic components for portable outdoor operation. The invention provides a low-cost, lightweight, energy-efficient, and realtime solution for sports performance monitoring and smart training applications.
