MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641085620 A) filed by Vallurupalli Nageswara Rao Vignana Jyothi Institute Of Engineering And on July 13, 2026, for Real-Time Crop Disease Recognition And Advisory System Using Ar-Assisted Deep Neural Networks.
Inventors include Dr. S. Nagini; and Mr. Karnam Akhil.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The Crop diseases impacts large scale loss of crops, decreasing cultivation and eventually leads to financial loss of farmers. Due to rapid growth in variety of diseases and inadequate knowledge of farmers, identification and treatment of the disease has become a major challenge. The leaves have texture and visual similarities which attributes for identification of disease type. Hence, computer vision employed with Deep Learning(DL) provides the way to solve this problem. Recent advances in deep learning, offer promising pathways for accurate, image-based disease detection. The proposed research focuses on developing a robust DL framework to detect and classify crop diseases, creating a comprehensive dataset, optimizing model performance, and evaluating the system's practical application in diverse agricultural settings. This research proposes a robust DL framework to detect and classify crop diseases while integrating Augmented Reality (AR) for real-time analysis. By capturing live images of crops through AR, the system instantly processes and identifies diseases, providing immediate feedback and treatment suggestions to farmers. The approach ensures timely intervention, enhancing precision agriculture and minimizing crop loss. This study focuses on building a comprehensive dataset, optimizing model performance, and evaluating the system's effectiveness across different agricultural settings.
