MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611108686 A) filed by Sharda University on September 10, 2026, for Real-Time Digital Fraud Detection System.
Inventors include Roobal; Saxena, Rahul; and Dillu, Venus.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: A real-time digital fraud detection system (100) incorporates a digital evidence input layer (102) for receiving heterogeneous digital evidence from one or more digital data sources. A fraud detection engine (104) processes the received evidence and identify multiple categories of digital fraud associated with heterogeneous digital activities and interactions. An explainable engine (106) generates an interpretable explanation corresponding to each fraud detection result, and a forensic evidence generation unit (108) further generates a structured forensic output containing the evidence, detection result, and corresponding explanation. A data preprocessing module (110) preprocesses the heterogeneous digital evidence and extracts relevant features, while a spoofing detection engine (112) analyzes authentication, sender, transmission, timestamp, metadata, and behavioral information to identify spoofed digital communications. A phishing detection engine (114), coupled with the fraud detection engine (104), processes website-related digital evidence based on structural, lexical, and domain-based characteristics to identify phishing websites.
