MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611050180 A) filed by National Institute Of Technology, Kurukshetra on April 20, 2026, for Real-Time Predictive Surgical Guidance System And Method Thereof.
Inventors include Saini, Priyanka; Dr. Sood, Sandeep Kumar; and Dr. Bhatia, Munish.
The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: A real-time predictive surgical guidance system (110) and method (900) are disclosed. System includes imaging and sensing unit (112) to capture raw data from procedural field and generate time-stamped data representing surgical activities. System includes edge pre-processing analysis unit (114) to receive time-stamped data and identify current procedural step. Cloud-based surgical analysis and processing unit (116) comprising cloud-based digital-twin module (16a) to maintain synchronized virtual-model of ongoing procedure and generate digital-twin state view, and cloud-based quantum-assisted predictive-analysis module (116b) configured to analyse next states. Cloud-based quantum-assisted predictive-analysis module generates predictive data comprising predicted next procedural step, confidence level and risk indicator for predicted step. Cloud-based surgical analysis and processing unit (116) compares current procedural step with predicted next procedural step to determine deviation. System includes interaction and guidance unit (120) presenting three-dimensional visualization of synchronized virtual-model, alerts corresponding to risk indicator for predicted step, and guidance information to healthcare-provider.
