Abstract: Personal bag theft causes significant financial and personal security losses in urban environments and public spaces. The Real-Time Smart Bag Tracking and Theft Prevention System embeds GPS, 4G LTE, BLE, 6-axis IMU, fingerprint sensor, and tamper detection within a covert bag tracker providing 72-hour continuous operation. BLE RSSI proximity monitoring detects unauthorized separation with progressive alert escalation from haptic alerts to GPS tracking mode. An onboard TinyML motion classifier identifies Aggressive Snatch and Suspicious Handle events triggering immediate emergency GPS alerts. Fingerprint biometric authentication with a tamper detection grace period prevents false alarms while securing against unauthorized access. A companion mobile application provides real-time location tracking, alert management, and law enforcement recovery portal access, delivering comprehensive proactive theft prevention and effective post-theft recovery capability.
