MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511006867 A) filed by Colorjet India Limited on January 28, 2025, for Realtime Meniscus Vacuum Control System For Inkjet.

Inventor includes Krishna Kant Taneja.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT “Realtime Meniscus Vacuum Control System for Inkjet” The present invention relates to a real-time meniscus vacuum control system for an inkjet printing apparatus. The system comprises a printhead, a main ink tank, an intermediate subtank pouch, multiple pumps for ink and air regulation, a degassing assembly, pressure sensing means, level sensing means, and a controller. The controller dynamically regulates ink flow and selectively maintains a controlled low or high gauge pressure at the printhead across multiple operational modes including ink filling, printing, standby, and recirculation cleaning. Continuous feedback from pressure and level sensors enables precise meniscus control to ensure stable ink jetting, prevent ink leakage, inhibit air bubble formation, and maintain ink integrity. The system supports ink filling with or without simultaneous printing and provides effective degassing and recirculation to enhance printhead reliability and overall printing performance.
