Improving dietary habits and lifestyle practices through non- pharmacological approaches, along with pharmacological ones, plays a crucial role in the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease, contributing to a better quality of life and long-term health. Functional foods contain biologically active components that help reduce the risk of heart disease by targeting key cardiovascular risk factors. Market analysis reveals an absence of affordable, powdered cardiac health supplements that can be easily incorporated into daily diets as functional foods. The present invention relates to the development of a novel plant-based vegan functional food supplement formulated using traditionally consumed red rice along with selected botanicals, nuts, seeds, and natural sweeteners, which is cost-effective. The formulation is nutrient-dense, rich in antioxidants, and possesses a favorable fatty acid and mineral profile that helps in supporting cardiac health and can act as a cardioprotective effect
