The method includes establishing, with the core network, at least one packet data unit (PDU) session across the at least one access network. And the method includes releasing the at least one PDU session across the at least one access network. Release of the at least one PDU session triggers the core network to start the at least one timer, and expiration of the at least one timer triggers the core network to implicitly deregister the UE via the at least one access network to the core network.
