Abstract: The increasing demand for cooling systems in buildings has led to high energy consumption and environmental concerns. This study focuses on the development of self-cooling clay bricks as an eco- friendly and energy-efficient alternative for temperature regulation in structures. The bricks are prepared using natural materials such as clay, charcoal, and organic fibers, which enhance porosity and enable evaporative cooling. When water is absorbed and gradually evaporates through the brick surface, it reduces the surrounding temperature naturally without the need for electricity. The inclusion of materials like charcoal improves thermal insulation and moisture retention, thereby increasing cooling efficiency. These bricks are cost-effective, sustainable, and suitable for hot climatic regions. The use of self-cooling clay bricks can significantly reduce indoor temperatures, minimize reliance on air conditioning, and contribute to energy conservation and environmental protection.
