Abstract: A method performed by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes sending information to a network that indicates a UE capability for a resilient notification service in which a paging failure of a paging message for a mobile terminated service triggers a resilient notification associated with the paging message. The method includes monitoring both a paging channel for the paging message associated with the mobile terminated service, and a dedicated paging alert channel for the resilient notification triggered by detection of the paging failure of the paging message associated with the mobile terminated service. And the method includes receiving the resilient notification associated with the paging message on the dedicated paging alert channel triggered by the detection of the paging failure of the paging message.
