Abstract: ABSTRACT Natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, and cyclones often damage communication infrastructure, making it difficult for people to contact emergency services or their families. Most communication systems depend on mobile towers and internet connectivity, which may become unavailable during such situations. This project proposes a Decentralized Disaster Communication Network that allows mobile devices to communicate directly without relying on the internet. The system uses a mesh networking approach in which nearby smartphones connect through technologies such as Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct, and each device acts as a node that can send, receive, and forward messages to other devices using multi-hop communication. The system also includes features such as SOS emergency alerts, GPS-based location sharing, and priority-based message transmission to ensure that critical messages are delivered quickly. By enabling communication even when conventional networks fail, the proposed system provides a reliable solution to support emergency communication and improve disaster response.
