MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441101300 A) filed by Te Connectivity India Private Limited on December 20, 2024, for Retention Clip For A Cable Tube, Connector And Connection Assembly.

Inventors include Patil, Akshaykumar; and Hugar, Danappa.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a retention clip (1) for mechanical strain relief of a cable tube (24) surrounding a cable harness (14) of a connector (4), wherein the retention clip (1) defines a cable channel (12) for passing therethrough the cable harness (14) along an insertion direction (16), wherein the retention clip (1) comprises a catch section (54) at least partially projecting into the cable channel (12) and adapted to engage the cable tube (24) inserted into the cable channel (12), an anchoring section (36) for attachment of the retention clip (1) to the connector (4), and a transition section (78) located between the anchoring section (36) and the catch section (54), wherein the transition section (78) continuously surrounds the cable channel (12) and is circum-ferentially monolithic with respect to the insertion direction (16). Due to the circumferentially mon-olithic nature, the retention clip (1) more compact and easier to manufacture and install than ex-isting strain relief structures with two halves. Further, the present invention relates to a cable assembly (2), a connector (4) and a connection assembly (6) with such a retention clip (1). Fig. 7
