The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a retrofittable motorcycle safety node (100) and method. An inertial measurement unit (106) measures motion of the motorcycle. A microcontroller unit (108) extracts time-domain features from sliding windows of the inertial data and classifies the road condition as normal road, speed bump, rough road or pothole with an embedded random forest classifier (112), the classification being validated by thresholds on jerk and lean angle. On a hazard, a peer-to-peer 2.4 GHz radio (116) broadcasts an alert with the GPS position directly to nearby nodes without network infrastructure, and receiving nodes warn their riders and relay the alert once. From the same inertial data, the lean angle steers a servo-mounted LED headlight (118) towards the turn, and a crash, detected when resultant acceleration exceeds 4 g with lean above75 degrees, triggers an emergency messagethrough aGSM module (120).
