Abstract: A method for broadcasting an uplink Wake-up Signal (UL WUS) configuration is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a gNodeB-Central Unit (gNB-CU) of a second cell, a request from a first cell to support a Network Energy Saving (NES) mode at the first cell. The method includes determining, by the gNB-CU, whether to support the NES mode at the first cell based on at least one of one or more User Equipment (UE) measurement reports and one or more predefined parameters associated with the second cell. In response to determining to support the NES mode at the first cell, the method includes transmitting, by the second cell, an acknowledgement to the first cell indicating the support for the NES mode. The method includes broadcasting, by the second cell, an uplink Wake-up Signal (UL WUS) configuration associated with the first cell.
