Abstract: The present disclosure provides a rotating packed bed (RPB) system (100) with modified mechanical supports, casing (107) and a method (200) thereof. The rotating packed bed (RPB) system (100) includes a shaft (101) connected to a rotor (109) with a top plate (102) and a base plate (103) positioned parallel to each other and separated to accommodate a packing material (118). A casing (107) houses the rotor assembly (109) and is designed to split into a first portion (107-1) and a second portion (107-2), allowing horizontal pivoting. The first portion (107-1) is detachable for accessing the rotor assembly (109). The system (100) includes one or more stepped tie rods (106) positioned at the inner and outer diameters of the top plate (102) and the base plate (103) to connect them securely.
