MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521003162 A) filed by National Innovation Foundation India on January 14, 2025, for Safe Vision Distance Sensor System For Mobile Devices.

Inventor includes Deepak.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT SAFE VISION DISTANCE SENSOR SYSTEM FOR MOBILE DEVICES The present disclosure provides a safe vision distance sensor system for a mobile device, comprising an communication device, a distance sensor configured to measure a distance between the communication device and a user's eyes, a microcontroller operatively connected to the distance sensor and configured to process data from the distance sensor, an alarm unit operatively connected to the microcontroller and configured to alert the user, a power supply configured to provide electrical power to the distance sensor. The microcontroller, and the alarm unit, and a connecting wire are configured to interconnect the communication device, the distance sensor, the microcontroller, the alarm unit, and the power supply. The system monitors the distance between the device and user's eyes, activates the alarm when the distance is below a threshold, and can initiate a locking mechanism on the device for prolonged unsafe usage.
