Abstract: System and Method for Controlled Inference Across Independent Model Providers A host controller (120) resolves a request’s provider identifier against an enabled registry (130) and preserves that identity through credential retrieval and transport selection. A persistent interlock (150) is checked before and after a credential-state mutex wait, before retrieving a provider-scoped secret from a credential store (140), and before transmission. Metadata identifies a single supported credential, and only its secret row is retrieved. A transport (180) restricts local endpoints to loopback HTTP and remote endpoints to HTTPS, with redirects and proxies disabled. A protocol adapter (170) translates data without credential or process authority. A local process manager (160) repeats interlock checks around lifecycle waits and distinguishes router availability from model readiness. The coordination limits cross-provider secret exposure and rejects designated queued operations when deactivation is observed. Use is software assistance. Figure 1 accompanies the abstract.
