MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621063837 A) filed by Goa University on May 20, 2026, for Sb3+ Doping In Benzylammonium Based Metal Halide Perovskites.
Inventors include Nagvenkar, Anjani P.; and Narvekar, Samidha S..
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for preparing a perovskite material. In one embodiment, a precursor A and a precursor B is provided wherein precursor B includes a dopant precursor. The precursor A and the precursor B are dissolved in a hydrohalic acid medium to form a first solution. The first solution is heated and a reducing agent is added to the first solution to obtain a second solution. An organic spacer cation precursor is added to the second solution while maintaining the second solution at an elevated temperature. The second solution is re-heated until a clear solution is obtained and the solution is cooled to crystallize a doped perovskite material. The doped perovskite material is recovered, wherein ions derived from the precursor B are incorporated into a lattice of the perovskite material.
