Abstract: Cold chain logistics plays a critical role in preserving temperature-sensitive goods such as vaccines and perishable food. However, maintaining and verifying compliance becomes highly challenging m environments-with-intermittent or no network rk-con n activity:- -Th is-project· presents-a I ow-power, -tam per-resistant "Black Box" data logger built using an ESP32 development board. The system continuously monitors key environmental parameters, including temperature, humidity, shock, and light exposure, ensuring comprehensive tracking of storage and transport conditions. To address connectivity gaps, the device securely stores all collected data locally using a Microsb '~~dule during offline operation. Once network connectivity is restored, the stored data is automatically synchronized with the cloud, ensuring seamless data availability and traceability. Additionally,..t.h e system integrates tamper detection mechanisms along with shock and tilt sensing to enhance data authenticity and. prevent unauthorized interference. Designed for ultra-low power consumption, the device operates primarily in deep sleep mode, enabling long-duration deployment with minimal energy usage. This solution provides a reliable, secure, and efficient approach to cold chain monitoring, ensuring both real-time visibility (when connected) and verifiable data integrity throughout the entire transportation process.
