Abstract: However, the exponential increase in IoT devices' connectivity has brought certain security challenges like unauthorized access of devices, device impersonation, alteration of data sent by the device, etc. The current methods of centralized authentication for devices face problems related to single-point failures and inability to constantly monitor the activity of the devices after the process of authentication. Therefore, there is a need for a novel solution that will help to address the aforementioned challenges associated with device authentication. Hence, this invention discloses the Secure IoT Device Authentication System Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain. The proposed system makes use of blockchain technology to offer a decentralized, tamper-proof storage of IoT device identities along with their cryptographic credentials which can ensure the security and reliability of the device authentication process. In addition to that, the system uses an AI-powered behavioral analysis module to constantly monitor the communication pattern of the devices, frequency of data transmission and its timing to generate a trust score for the authenticated device. The suspicious activities of the device are detected in real-time and the device gets restricted from communicating on the network.
