Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a n RFID vehicle authentication system and method utilize an integrated cryptographic processor to secure communications between an RFID tag and a remote server. The system comprises an RFID tag providing a unique identifier to a reader, which passes it to a local control unit. The control unit processes a master key via a key scheduling unit by splitting it into four key segments. These segments are iteratively transformed using specific bitwise left-shift, right-shift, and modulo addition operations to produce execution round keys. An encryption unit combines the identifier with the round keys through an initial bitwise mixing conditional inverter, followed by substitution-permutation network stages executing non-linear substitution and linear row-shifting permutation. The resulting ciphertext is transmitted wirelessly to a backend authentication server, which performs inverse cryptographic operations to safely reconstruct and validate the identifier against a database registry, eliminating replay vulnerabilities.
