Abstract: The invention in particular relates to a security element comprising a grating of contiguous or adjacent lines in relief, these lines (2) being oriented in directions of respective axes X and Y, while said relief is oriented in a direction of axis Z, at least one of these lines (2) being defined by two consecutive valleys or two consecutive peaks, from which two opposite flanks stem, at least one opposite flank having, in the Y-Z plane, an average slope varying continuously between two extreme values, the set of slopes of said grating being such that, at any given point, the slope P(x,y) respects P(x,y) = k * P1(x,y) + (1-k) * P2(x,y), in which equation: k is a constant between 0.2 and 0.8; and P1(x,y) and P2(x,y) are the respective local slopes of the flank at the point (x,y) of a first virtual structure (S1) and of a second virtual structure.
